Pelletron, the leader in dust collection technology, introduces the all-new C-20 DeDuster®, a dust collector specifically designed for injection molders
+ Excellent dedusting results
+ Low overall height – 240 mm
+ Low weight - 9 kg
+ Low investment costs
Removing dust and angel hair before processing prevents defects such as black specks, soft spots and milky surfaces from appearing in the final product. This reduces rejects during production and increases yields.
Execution:
Weighing only 9 kg, the C-20 DeDuster® requires only 240 mm of clearance for installation between the material loader and the injection molding machine inlet hopper. The high cleaning quality is comparable to that of the P1 DeDuster®, the currently common dedusting device for injection molding machines. The C-20 is made of stainless steel with 220 V connection power and consumes only 3 to 5 m3/h compressed air at 1.5-2 bar.
The C-20 DeDuster® is designed for a throughput of up to 20 kg/h for products with a bulk density of approx. 560 kg/m³. Throughput rates of up to 30 kg/h are possible for products with a higher bulk density.
Working principle:
The design of the C-20 is based on the proven design principle of the Mini-DeDuster® series. The product inlet has an integrated star feeder for even dosing and to prevent bridging. The proven Venturi principle increases the dedusting performance and minimizes the transfer of good product to the dust collection container. The system works with compressed air that can be taken directly from the operating compressed air and therefore does not need a separate fan.
Inside the device, the compressed air is divided into two air streams in order to optimize the dedusting effect. An ionizer is also used to interrupt the electrostatic forces between the granules and the adhering dust and to remove this fine dust as well. The dust particles and angel hair are then blown by the cleaning air into two mini cyclones, where the dust is separated from the cleaning air. The separated particles and angel hair are collected in a clear plastic dust container and the cleaned air is blown off into the environment via a filter. Ambient air is sucked in through a filter to generate negative pressure at the product outlet of the device.
